Cleveland Pigment & Color offers different lines of specialty pigments for niche or high-end applications within the plastics, coatings, and printing ink industries. Examples of our specialty pigments are:

Phosphorescent Pigments - These "glow-in-the-dark" pigments can be used by plastics, coatings and printing ink manufacturers for special effect, safety, or toy applications. They are available in different series and as different colors in order to meet the required shade and afterglow duration requirements.

Invisible Pigments - Visible only under black light, these pigments are typically used in ink and coatings for security or anti-counterfeiting applications. Also available is an invisible red, evident only under infrared light.

Thermochromic Pigments - These pigments are based on liquid crystal technology and are supplied as a water-based solution. Under different heat conditions, they will change color to bright, vivid shades. Within this range are six colors suitable for coatings applications.

Lapis Pigment - This product is extracted from natural Lapis Lazuli gemstone. Its irregular and angular shape produces a rich, vibrant and ever-changing shade of blue that conventional, sphere-shaped pigments cannot duplicate.
